Spirited Generosity is a ‘do it yourself’ 3-year process for developing giving invitations and growing a culture of generosity focused on a congregation’s mission.
Growing a culture of generosity as a response to God’s generosity to us
Building on the strategic (or mission) plan of the church to focus people’s giving towards the objectives the church is wishing to achieve in the future
Growing a range of giving opportunities both for the mission of the church and for the wider church, community, and world.
Imagining Hope This giving invitation seeks to grow the height of generosity by engaging more people in understanding what mission is and how they can be a part of the Mission of God in the world. Group participant and leaders’ resources are provided for 3 weeks of group discussions.
The Gifts of God seeks to grow the depth of our generosity by inviting people to make a decision to give electronically. When people give in this way, they make their decision about giving along with the decision for their major investments in life. Personal reflections are used to explore our response to God’s gifts.
Growing Generosity seeks to grow the breadth of generosity by increasing the ways people are invited to give, throughout the year. Using the Giving Matrix as a mission resourcing plan is developed to open up a range of giving options to different groups of people. There are resources for use in worship that focuses on mission and generosity.
